Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Family and Early Education Teacher to join our team. This role involves designing and conducting engaging ASL classes specifically tailored for families and young learners. The ideal candidate will possess strong teaching skills, a deep understanding of early childhood development, and a passion for fostering a love of ASL within families.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute ASL curriculum and lesson plans suitable for families and young learners, ensuring a dynamic and interactive learning experience.

  • Facilitate engaging ASL sessions that cater to various age groups within the early education spectrum, incorporating fun activities and visual aids.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, communication, and a love for ASL among children and their families.

  • Collaborate with other ASL educators and the curriculum development team to enhance and refine teaching materials and methodologies.

  • Provide regular progress reports and feedback to parents or guardians regarding their child’s development and participation in ASL classes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, ASL Studies, or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in teaching ASL to children or within family-oriented settings, with a strong grasp of early childhood development principles.

  • ASL proficiency at an advanced level and fluency in English, with the ability to effectively communicate and instruct in both languages.

  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans, integrating technology and visual aids as teaching tools.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with children and families, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
